Soft Cover Perfect Binding

We offer perfect binding using both traditional hot melt adhesive (using EVA glue) and the revolutionary PUR (polyurethane reactive) adhesive. EVA is useful for soft cover books using uncoated papers. For anything requiring coated text pages, thick books or rugged usage - we recommend our PUR binding. Typical products we produce using PUR include: softcover school yearbooks, church directories, company catalogs, quarterly magazines, music books, cloth manufacturer swatch books and more.

 

EVA or PUR Perfect Bind Specifications:

  • Min size book block 4 x 5"
  • max size 12 .5 x 12.5"
  • Thickness: Minimum 0.0875" - Maximum 2.5"
  • EVA: Works well uncoated papers
  • PUR: Works well with all types of paper stock

How to deliver to bindery:

1-up books with 1/8" extra on all 4 sides. Always use a brightly colored slip sheet divider between each set of books.
