PUR Case Perfect Binding
A very promising new binding option is PUR adhesive, or PUR Case Perfect Binding. As you can see, PUR case perfect books lay open flat providing excellent readability. With pressure applied, each spread will open nicely. There is no fear of pages falling out, as PUR Adhesive is reported to be the strongest adhesive currently on the market. Although it is not yet an approved Library Binding Institute method for libraries, it is expected it will soon be approved. PUR is now in wide use for commercial applications with printers and book publishers. PUR adhesive works well on all types of paper, even aqueous coated stocks or books printed with heavy ink coverage or uncoated papers. This is of enormous benefit to projects requiring short run digitally printed books on highly coated or varnished interior pages – even synthetic materials.

How to deliver to bindery: 1-up books with 1/8" extra on all 4 sides. Always use a brightly colored slip sheet divider between each set of books. -Please consult the bindery for details on printed end sheets. There are various ways we can handle printed end sheets depending on customer preference and paper stock.
