Digital Conversion Services

Preservation at Houchen Bindery Ltd. no longer just means preserving the printed materials. Sometimes rebinding it may not be possible due to the age or condition of the materials. This is where Digital Conversion Services become important. By carefully digitizing old and/or rare documents, we can assist any Library, Archive or Institution in their quest to extend the life of the original document.

Houchen Bindery Ltd.'s Digital Conversion Services involves digitizing original materials including books, such as old yearbooks, historical editions, photographs, journals, rare documents, artifacts etc. using flatbed and sheet-fed scanning devices depending upon size of input material.  We have developed "Best Practices" for these services and can go over these technical details with you upon request.

Once the document(s) have been completely digitized, we can print as few as one copy or multiple copies of the document as a hard cover or soft cover edition. The originals will be repackaged and returned to the client in the same condition that it was received, or re-bound if possible as directed.

The digital version of the document will also be available and delivered to the client in its requested format. Either on CD, DVD, or as an FTP file download. Credentials for FTP file download will be provided upon completion of project.
